Data Engineering Manager

As a Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers to design, develop, and maintain data solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency. This role will oversee data infrastructure, optimize data pipelines, and ensure the integrity and security of data systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Essential Functions:

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in developing scalable data solutions.
• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Manage and maintain data warehouses, databases, and other data infrastructure.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data requirements and strategies.
• Oversee performance tuning and troubleshooting of data systems.
• Implement best practices for data governance and data quality management.
• Drive innovation in data engineering through emerging technologies and tools.
• Support cross-functional teams by providing insights through data analytics.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data pipeline development.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with technical and business teams.
• Ability to solve complex data challenges with innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
