Full Time Baker

Description:

As a Full Time Baker, your primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by providing them with high-quality bakery products. You will be responsible for preparing, baking, and decorating a variety of fresh bakery goods, ensuring they meet Harris Teeter's quality standards. You will also be required to maintain a clean and safe working environment, assist with stocking bakery items, and offer exceptional customer service. This involves following all safety procedures, handling baking equipment properly, and ensuring the highest standards in food safety and cleanliness.

• PERSONAL SKILLS. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A strong willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and bakery sales.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos [in English]. Ability to write simple correspondence [in English]. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization who only speak English.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and calculate measurements and weights used in baking.
• REASONING ABILITY. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS. Complete Company's training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, product knowledge, and bakery-specific training.
